Australia’s borders have seen the seizure of almost 35 tonnes of illicit vapes as officials step up measures to shield vulnerable youngsters from the growing vaping epidemic.
According to police, many of the vapes were intentionally scented and packaged in bright colours to appeal to Australia’s youth.It coincides with a nationwide campaign that has brought attention to the dangers of vaping, which is increasingly becoming an issue for youth.
In barely two weeks, authorities gathered the highly addictive nicotine-containing vape pens.
Some of the products had dangerous substances added to them without any warning labels.According to the superintendent of the Australian Border Force, 9News, they are mainly aimed against youngsters overall.
